AZ State Tournament--forfeits

Anybody know why there are so many forfeits? They being extra cautious about skin checks? Or are just just not making weight?

There are 20 total, state wide for the boys, across all divisions.

According to track wrestling, there was only one bracket slot marked "forfeit" last year.

Compared to TWENTY this year. Seems really weird.

I heard that he was ineligible.

I can only speak to the D1 guys...all of the non-heavyweights didn't make weight (not 100% sure on 106 from Tucson but making that assumption) and the heavyweights had skin issues. Some of the guys who didn't make weight weren't even close, which kind of blows my mind.
