Liberty moved up to DI.

Pretty sure Ramon Ramos is going to the new prep school, which, I believe is not AIA affiliated and therefore not eligible to compete at state.

Castagnaro from Cienega will most likely be 145

Levy from Cienega will most likely be 152

Johnson from Cienega will most likely be 160. Also, I know Lee places higher at state than Johnson but Johnson beat him head to head 10-2 in their sectional final match up. I would expect Lee to bump to 160 as well. He's a pretty solid kid.

Sahuaro also dropped to DIII, so Thomas at 195 won't be there.

Liberty and Queen Creek up to DI
and Lake Havasu, Gila Ridge, Desert Edge, Sahuaro DIII

Wow....now that the dust is settling....Sunnyside is going to dominate for many years, unless something changes.

Sunnyside is always super tough, no doubt. Don't overlook Mountain View, Williams Field or Cienega.

Are there any incoming freshman that will contend or is D2 pretty much all locked up? Seems like tons of talented wrestlers, placers, all-americans.

Just added Villaescusa and Rivera (both MS state champs) to Sunnyside's line up....I know SS also has another stud freshman in R. Fragoso in the middle weights, but not sure if he can break the line up this year...

Cael Keith of verrado should be in the mix at 152 he got knocked out in the blood rounds at state as a freshman and went to Virgina beach a won a few matches fell short of AA status.
Aiden Barner of verrado should be in the mix at 182 he was another that got knocked out in the blood rounds at state .

Ramos is at Valiant. So he will not be wrestling in AZ.

Maybe add Logan Mitchell from Cienega in the mix at 132. He won his section last year and was a round away from placing at state.

Your 160 prediction I believe is wrong! I think Scott Kellenberger from Horizon is going to take 1st!
These aren’t predictions. These are just tentative rankings based on last years state placing. This season is almost upon us. The proof will be on the mat :)
