This year's Mile High Challenge is shaping up to be the biggest and best tournament yet. It takes place at the Prescott Valley Event Center, home of the AZ State Championships. We have added more out of state teams and more in-state powerhouses. It is a great atmosphere for wrestling fans with a JV tournament on Friday, a college match on Friday, a JH tournament on Saturday, and one of the toughest Varsity tournaments on Friday and Saturday. mark your calendars for Jan. 8-9. We are stoked to be part of this very organized event again! Great competition and great location! I can't say enough good words about this event!

Same teams as last year minus Camp Verde, Desert Edge, and Caesar Chavez. We added Thunderbird, Kofa, McClintock, Windsor-CO, StPius-NM, El Dorado-TX, Del Valley-TX. It should be a 40plus team tournament.

Why did Camp Verde drop out?

Also is Cimmaron Memorial still in? Since it is the same weekend as Peoria and they have always been at Peoria?

This tournament is also this weekend. What a full weekend of wrestling this is going to be.

I think they should run the 2 tournaments on different weekends & that way they wouldn't be competing against each other! It would give both tournaments a chance to get more tough teams going to both! Also you would have 3 great tournaments in a row. That being said, all 3 tournaments are very tough & great for the state.

Tempe Union high school district has forbidden us from making the drive up :(
Marcos de Niza reluctantly has to sit this one out.

The snow forecast lead the District lawyers to say "no student travel"
Corona del sol, McClintock and Marcos are the only Tempe teams I saw on the list

I guess corona managed to get up there. ... Bummed out but we managed to get into Peoria
