Many have been calling this year. Looks like attendance is going to be great. A lot of opportunities for mat time galore. The Wrestling room will be totally dedicated to High School wrestlers. The gym will be dedicated to all kindergarten thru Middle school kids. They get the larger space because the numbers are greater due to parents, grand parents, uncle and aunts all show up to see them perform.

What time is the latest we can weigh in? Also, what time do you end wrestling? Is the $15 folkstyle card sufficient for participation, or do I need to have my wrestlers purchase the $45 card?

Weigh ins are informal and the honor system will be utilized. We have always finished by noon with most people getting between 10 to 15 matches. The $15 folkstyle card is sufficient.

Absolutely Awesome! This Saturday was action packed producing some titanic opportunities in matchups. With no separation of division classes, there were many marquee wrestling bouts between champions from throughout Arizona clubs. They all brought with them different styles of technique which made everyone improve. All the guys showed high class with good sportsmanship, great respect and proper attitude while demonstrating a brotherhood type behavior throughout the Tournament. Top individuals came from Yuma, Somerton, Liberty, Thorobred, Grindhouse, Kofa, Olympus, Valiant and Arizona's finest Nicholas Steele from San Pasqual (Virginia Beach Champion).

The next Weekend Wars is on 4-27-2019.

We had a great turn out again with wrestlers from Joe City, Prescott, Thorobred, Parker, Winslow, Independence, NAZ Grapplers, Grind House, Payson, Camp Verde, Cheyenne, St. Johns, Gilbert, Apollo, Blue Ridge, Desert Mountain, Flagstaff, Cyclones, Canyon Del Oro, Liberty Traditional, Glassford Hills, Finley Farms, Peoria, Mountain Side, Holbrook, Chandler Prep, Glendale, Buckeye, Greenway, American Leadership Academy, Walden Grove, Sunnyside, Sinagua, Liberty High School and Pinetop.

Everyone thanked us for such a great time. Many saying it’s just absolutely unbelievable to be able to wrestle ten matches before noon and get to go home early. There were Grandparents, Fathers, Mothers, Aunts and Uncles in attendance going to have lunch as a family afterwards.

The next Weekend Wars is on May 11th. All are invited and welcomed. So come on up and join in on the fun.

Even though it was a holiday weekend, attendance was good. Many thanks to the following clubs who had participants attend Weekend Wars; Camp Verde, Apollo, Casteel, Mesa Mountain View, Valley of the Sun, Flagstaff, East Valley, Payson, Morenci, Chino Valley, Canyon Del Oro, Higley, Valiant, Mingus Mountain, Prescott, Williams Field, Window Rock, Adams State, Poston, Gilbert, St. Thomas, Surprise, Sunset Hills and Wayland Baptist. Most averaged ten matches for the day and a wealth of wrestling knowledge.

It should be every wrestler’s goal to attain at least 100 matches in the off-season, if they wish to be competitive in the regular season. Many coaches were grateful and expressed their content about their kids getting ten matches and yet leave early enough to get home and spend the rest of their day with friends and family. We always finish before noon which attracts many wrestlers and their coaches.

Our next Weekend Wars is on June 8th and all are welcome.
