JB Doubles, so the above has been ratified and approved by AIA? Lots of changes, just want to make sure this is official.

I got info DIRECTLY off the AIA website... I’m assuming if they published it it’s safe to say that it’s OFFICIAL. schools can try to petition but if you go to the website it shows if they’re petition was approved or rejected.

Hi JB, in all other sports you are correct, but in wrestling the divisions and sections were set much later, so the appeals process has not run. To my knowledge only 2 schools have appealed and want to move from D3 to D4.

Not sure how Casteel is in Division #2 ????? Casteel has a bigger school population than many Division 1 teams. For example Sunnyside is a smaller school than Casteel, but yet they are in division #1. Casteel is more than twice the size of many of the schools in their current Section. I guess this will continue to be a big mystery!

HMM.... same can be said about Campo Verde, Williams Field, Gilbert, and many other schools. Bottomline school has only had 2 senior classes graduate, its a young school still, and D11 overall was pretty loaded last year; but maybe change will happen on next 2 year block alignment.

I can see teams like campo, WF, and casteel going up due to enrollment numbers. That would make for an even tougher D1. I believe Gilbert’s enrollment maybe down but don’t quote me on that. So I can see them staying put. I can see sunnyside staying put because of pure dominance but that again that isn’t fair if we are going off enrollment. Who knows maybe they petitioned to go up.
