The 48th Annual El Cajon Invitational (ECI) is on December 14th-15th, 2018 --Hosted by Valhalla Wrestling--Sponsored by CLINCH GEAR
This is San Diego County’s longest running tournament with a rich tradition. There was no San Diego Section tournament ranked higher than the ECI in 2017 with over 50 State Ranked wrestlers. Please check out the "2017 ECI Top 20 Teams" listed below.
In an effort to maintain a spectator friendly event, we will be limiting the tournament to approximately 50 teams. Last year we reached capacity & had to turn teams away in early November.
To secure your team’s spot in this year’s ECI simply fill out a short online form via the following link https://goo.gl/tPhmdE More detailed information will then be sent to you as the date approaches.
We pride ourselves in running a very efficient tournament that’s extremely competitive and spectator friendly. We traditionally have top teams from all over California as well as Oregon, Washington, Arizona and Nevada. For several years competition has finished on both days by approximately 6:30pm.
This year’s tournament will again be held at San Ysidro High School. This site provides plenty of seating with full bleacher seating on BOTH sides of the gym– San Ysidro High School - 5353 Airway Rd, San Diego, CA 92154
· 64 man Double elimination bracket
· You may bring up to 6 “B” Wrestlers at NO EXTRA COST. “B” Wrestlers will be randomly drawn into the bracket.
· Finals on Two Mats
· LARGE 4.5” Custom Medals for 1st-8th place.
· Champions receive a Custom Clinch Gear Tournament Gear Bag.
· Team Champions receive FREE ENTRY into next year's tournament.
· Coaches lunch both days + Tournament gift for each head coach

This year we have an agreement with the Holiday Inn Express for a discounted rate for all teams attending our tournament. The contact information is listed below. When making your reservation, state that you would like the "Valhalla High School / El Cajon Invitational" group rate. The rate should be reduced to $94 per room. Let me know if you have any problems.
