Need mat time at an awesome tournament? Then come out to Window Rock on the Navajo Rez. This tournament is growing, doubling in size from its beginning in 2014.
4th Annual Veterans Memorial Wrestling Invitational
December 15th and 16th, 2017
Window Rock High School, Fort Defiance, AZ
Teams: First 28 teams to be determined upon acceptance of our invitation
FORMAT: Team duals and individual medal tournament. 28 teams will be divided into 4 pools of seven teams in a series of duals, five duals per team on Day 1 and three on Day 2 (two duals are interpool duals to determine placings). The top two wrestlers from each pool will advance on to the medal rounds in the same fashion. Every wrestler will have a minimum of 8 matches, with medalists wrestling 9-10 matches. We will wrestle on four mats, with six available total.
*this is subject to change according to number of teams committed. We will maximize your wrestlers’ mat time.
We will not have a JV tournament. Instead, we will fit them in as extra. They won’t score for the team but have a chance to individually medal.

Camp Verde, Hopi, Kingman, Chinle, Red Mesa, Window Rock, Shiprock NM, Mohave, Blue Ridge, Miami, Gallup NM, Wingate NM, Monument Valley AZ, Round Valley, Tohono O'odham, Pecos NM, Moriarty NM, Flagstaff, San Carlos, Pinon, Many Farms.
