We would like to send our club kids as a team to one of these Junior High State Tournaments. Our actual Junior High season is in Spring, so it would have to be a collection of our club kids working out in Fall/Winter. What are the differences in the tournaments? Is one "better"?

The Tucson State Tourney is open only to school-based teams while Tempe State is open to schools, clubs, and individuals. If you plan to compete as a club, then Tempe is your best and only option. However, just because it is your only option doesn't mean you sacrifice anything - it is an excellent tournament and you will find the competition to be top-notch and the tournament well-run. You can't go wrong with attending it.
