Junior High Tournaments at Gila Ridge (9/2) and Yuma High (9/16)

Coaches and Parents,

The Junior high competition season starts in Yuma this year with a tournament hosted EACH weekend in September. The Gila Ridge (9/2) and Yuma High (9/16) tournaments have been going on for some years now and both attract great talent from all over AZ and CA. The Flyers for both tournaments are attached below. The cost is only $6.00 and NO ADDITIONAL USA or AZWAY membership cards are required.

The Yuma High JH invite is limited to 6th - 8th graders and uses the normal Junior High Weights. See the flyer attached below for contact info.

The Hawk Fall Classic at Gila Ridge is open to any student up to 8th grade and includes 4 lower weight classes to accommodate the younger wrestlers. There is, however, ONLY 1 DIVISION that will have MOSTLY Junior High competitors. NO HS Students are eligible.

The Hawk Fall Classic is just over a week away (9/2)! It's a long weekend and a great opportunity to travel to get some early Junior High competition without having to worry about being back to work on Monday!

Yuma High School will host its annual Junior High Invitational this weekend (9/16). This is a long-running tournament that runs efficiently and smoothly each year. It draws wrestlers from southern California and all over Arizona in addition to ALL of the Yuma-area Junior high teams.
