Hey wrestling community,
My name is Coach James and I and the head wrestling coach at ALA Gilbert North and Manu Wrestling Academy. Our team was planning on attending the North Valley RTC Duals this weekend but unfortunately it has been canceled as of yesterday due to things out of their control.
Our team is ready to wrestle this Saturday and so we will be attempting to host a dual tournament if we can get 8 teams to commit.
Details
We will have 4 mats out and each team will get 7 duals.
Location: American Leadership Academy -Gilbert North
Cost: $150 per team
Girls and boys
Time:10:00 coaches meeting. 10:30 wrestling starts. (We will start after Saturday’s Warrior)
Coaches will referee
Wrestlers will work as table workers
Matches will be 2-1-1
Grades:9-12(competitive 8th graders are welcome to join)
Unattached wrestlers:$20
Wrestlers who are interested in attending with no team are allowed to come as unattached and we will put you on a team.
Team champion: The team with the best record will get a team trophy
No spectator fee
We are hoping to get in one more tournament before the summer officially ends for us.
IF WE GET MORE THAN 8 TEAMS WE CAN TURN THIS INTO A TWO DAY TOURNAMENT (13-15 duals) AND START FRIDAY EVENING.
