CCCollege.edu
Attention: Arizona Residents
Urgent-
Coronavirus Forces $600 Billion Higher Education Industry Online (Bloomberg, 2020)...
In response, Community Christian College has just approved 250 scholarships for the following three areas: Athletic Scholarships, Ministry Scholarships, Outstanding Peer Support Scholarships, and GAP Scholarships. Financial Aid is available for those who qualify. These scholarships are on a first-come, first-serve basis, so you must act quickly to take advantage of this small window of opportunity. You may be asking yourself, what's the big deal? Here are some points about starting an online program as soon as possible:
  • Universities are in what is called a waiting room and by starting your general studies classes at Community Christian College you will stay on track to graduate on time or early.
  • You will minimize the risk of COVID-19 by not returning to on the ground classes too early.
  • When you transfer to a University such as Grand Canyon University, you will literally save thousands of dollars upon your junior year of entry.
  • ACT Scores or SAT Scores not required when applying.
  • The most affordable way of completing your general education courses along with earning your Associate of Arts Degree.
  • Additional University Scholarships are available for CCCollege Students upon transfer.
  • Stay close to home for two years before integrating into University Campus Life.
  • Face-to-Face Zoom support and zoom tutoring will be available for students.
  • Here are the scholarships in more detail:

ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP - $310 to $2,162. With a Coach's Referral. This scholarship is for athletes that have started their attendance with cCc before the Fall 2020 quarter and/or are actively enrolled full-time for the Fall 2020 quarter. This is awarded at a rate of $310 per quarter. If the student drops below full-time during the awarded quarter the full amount will be forfeited for the quarter. The maximum award is $2.162. Students cannot qualify for the Athletic, Ministry, and/or Outstanding Peer Support Scholarships at the same time. (Sports: AZ Wrestling, baseball, basketball, football, soccer, volleyball, softball, cross country, track and field).

Next Steps- If you would like to sign up, refer someone, and/or have specific questions, we as a college, would like to invite You, Students, Parents, and Coaches to our Live Face-to-Face Zoom Presentation followed by questions and answers on Weds. April 15th, at 6pm. We are also able to grant scholarships at that time for those who have applied and sent their referrals. Please forward this email to those who you know would like or would consider this opportunity. Details at the bottom of the page.
  • MINISTRY SCHOLARSHIP- $310 to $2,162. With a Pastoral Recommendation or a Community Leader´s Recommendation.
  • OUTSTANDING PEER SUPPORT SCHOLARSHIP- $310 to $2,162. With a 3.0 GPA or higher and teacher recommendation. This scholarship is for students that are actively volunteering to tutor peers.
  • GAP SCHOLARSHIP - $50 to $200. For a smoother transition from semester to semester. This scholarship will assist good students that have small balances remaining at the end of a successful quarter that is keeping them from advancing to the quarter or is impeding their graduation. Criteria: Must have a 2.0-grade point average, have applied and received maximum financial aid, and have a small remaining balance at the end of a successful quarter. Hi,
I, Mickey Nunez Grand Canyon University Wrestling Head Coach, wanted to reach out to you with Two Awesome Exciting Opportunities available for wrestlers that want to pursue their college degree and wrestle at the collegiate level. Here at Grand Canyon University, we had a great 2019-2020 Wrestling Season which included Division 1 Tournaments, duals, and individual victories, you can check out our schedule at: https://clubsports.gcu.edu/club-sports/wrestling/#schedule

Option 1:
One of the greatest benefits of wrestling for Grand Canyon University other than the great staff and beautiful campus, is that it is by far more affordable than the other local universities. Once again GCU has not raised their tuition as the other Universities have. As a matter of fact with the other universities if a student receives a $10,000 scholarship it will still be more expensive than attending GCU without a scholarship, making GCU the more affordable choice. If your student-athlete is interested in attending Grand Canyon University, here are a few helpful links for coaches, parents, and student-athletes to help with the process.
  1. GCU Wrestling News:

2. In the Club Podcast of frequently asked questions:

4. How to join:

5. Video Ad:

Option 2:
If you have student-athletes that can not go directly to the University right out of high school because of Grades, GPA, ACT Test, SAT Test, or Affordability, the next best option is the only junior college wrestling program in the valley. As an adjunct faculty, I oversee and supervise the Community Christian College Wrestling Program with the help of Coach Esquivel. As you may know, I had kept junior college wrestling alive for over ten years with successes such as a College Conference Championship, a National Dual Championship, All-Americans, and Academic All-Americans. Community Christian College is an Online Institution with on the ground tutoring assistance while earning an Associate of Arts Degree. All the credits transfer to universities across the nation including Grand Canyon University and California Baptist University. Also, individuals have transferred to ASU. The plan is that after two years, to transfer to a University to wrestle including the option of Grand Canyon University. This will act as a direct feeder program from CCCollege to GCU coming in with a solid foundation as a Redshirt Sophomore. Right now we have CCCollege Wrestling Scholarships with a Coach’s Referral. The Wrestling Scholarship is at $2,162. This scholarship is for athletes that have started their attendance with cCc before the Fall 2020 quarter and/or are actively enrolled full-time for the Fall 2020 quarter. This is awarded at a rate of $310 per quarter. We are looking to build the team with a men’s team, a women’s team, wrestling managers, videography, and social media. Every category qualifies for the wrestling scholarship. Here are a few helpful links for coaches, parents, and student-athletes to help with the process.

Next Steps:
  1. CCCollege Video AD:
  2. Apply at Cccollege.edu or click this link: https://www.cccollege.edu/apply-now
  3. Send referral to: mnunez@cccollege.edu
  4. Apply for FAFSA at: http://www.fafsa.gov

All three of these Universities have Collegiate Wrestling Programs.
