Just wait until the week before sectionals. They will have guys come out of the woodwork that haven't wrestled all year. They will win a few matches and win sectionals and get the number one seed at state, with like a 5-0 record.

I don't like to hate on the big guys, but the quality of the competition drops precipitously once you hit 195. While Hollen and Deasey were both dominant in their weight classes, I don't think they could be considered in the class, wrestling wise, as Martinez and Castillo.

I agree that Diego Chavez had a phenomenal year. That being said, I think that Kellenberger and Cole would probably beat him. Yes Chavez has National Accolades but they are against kids his own age. There is a big strength difference when you are a 160 pound freshman wrestling 18yo seniors. The...

Didn't ANDREWS lose this year? The person that beat him didn't. How can Andrews be the best wrestler in the State when he wasn't even the best wrestler in his weight class?

Unless they are a light 220 and can cut down 197 (let's be honest most 18yo 220 pounders have some baby fat still), they wrestle 285. 3x NCAA HWT, world and olympic champ Kyle Snyder was no where remotely close to 285.

195 - Armando Delgado should be number 2. (or at 220 if that is where he goes) Finished 3rd at state and beat Rees from SS twice. If he and Hollen actually wrestle this year, Delgado will win.

They lost 5. 3 State Champs. 1 - 4th. 1 -5th.

You do realize that Sunnyside is also dropping down to DII next year, don't you?
