Wayman from Lee Williams wrestled 165lbs in the Agua Fria tournament last weekend. He looked amazing and won the championship at 165. Not sure if that's the weight he wrestle after 2lb allowance in January. Either way, he looked strong.

Great ranking!
I see Kayden Luke at 215 on Canyon Del Oro’s roster. He took 5th at 195 D2 as a freshmen.

Who do you see at the Top 5 teams this year? I see Sahuarita as the favorite right now.

Right, Luke will sit until 2nd half. Could have 3 placers coming out of that section, Lambert, Luke and Pannell.

Not sure about Sahuarita, they still haven't put out a full team yet so it's hard to tell. They did beat ALA-Gilbert but ALA has Dalton Loyden waiting in the wings, he was just 2nd at preseason nationals. Not sure if he will be eligible to compete at all this year considering he transferred from Chandler to Casteel and then to ALA, we'll see about that one as ALA does have the most returning points from the state tournament. I wouldn't write off Safford either, Herman is the all time career wins leader in AZ for a reason. His kids will be ready when the time comes, but will he have them (Rios 5th, Zimmerman 3rd, Gonzalez 3rd) all back?

Completely agree,
In order to be the champ, you got the beat the champ. Seeing Rios, Gonzales, and Zimmerman makes me think otherwise but Coach Herman always has his guys ready. And it’s still too early to tell.

Davis went 165 at Mile High--placed 2nd.

Foshee wrestled 175 for one or two matches early, but not since. Hurt? quit? anyone have info on that?

I see Sahaurita as the hard favorite, with ALA gilbert as a distant second. Bradshaw Mt., Coconino and Snowflake are a tossup for 3rd.

Safford hasn't had Zimmerman all year, Fernando Gonzales wasn't back at Mile High, and Kordova hasn't wrestled much since injury defaulting to Austin Scott/ Mt.View Marana.

I think you have to rank Peglow from Empire higher. He was DQ'd last year in state for a illegal mat return and the best he could do was 5th. He was the #1 seed and the favorite to win it.

Sahuarita as a team is freaking tough. I would agree that they should be the favorites to win it as a team.

Bric Jobe beats Travis Christianson in OT. 4-2. He took him down twice with a minute left in the whole match.

Brandon Loyden Looked tough with a win over Ky Owens in OT at 138. He should be a top 6 guy.

Terrell Kinlicheenie went to 132 and I am sure that is where he will be for the remainder of the year.

ALA Gilbert Vole Tei at 215 beat Devin Kinlicheenie 9-3. He is should be at #4

Moving Davis.

Haven't heard any info on Foshee since the first 1/3 of the season.

Sahuarita has done some good things so far, looked good at Perry and Mtn. View. ALA Gilbert just lost to Snowflake, Coconino lightweights look tough and Bradshaw heavies are their anchor.

No clue on Zimmerman, just been holding him out of rankings. Gonzales wrestled at Peoria, went 2-2 and is entered for Flowing Wells. Kordova was at Mile High and then got scratched before the tourney, we'll see when he comes back.

We will find out a lot this weekend as ALA Gilbert and Bradshaw will both be at Doc Wright and they both seem to be strong in the same weight classes.

On track, it looks like ALA Gilbert beat Snowflake in the duel 50-24

Hill from Bradshaw mt down at 165, Split matches with Cody Owens, winning the most recent one by Fall.

Phillips from Coconino down at 113

113 Phillips Beat Z Wilhelm of Show low 2-1

138 Ky Owens Beat Michael Woods Coconino 7-0

144 Dallin Eckman ALA QC beat Levi Uchytil Snowflake 6-4

190 Bryce White Snowflake 4-1 Tyler Chapman ALA QC

190 DakotaMcMains Chino Valley Fall Bryce White Snowflake

285 Soto chi ALA QC 10-7 Cannon White ALA Gilbert

285 Cannon White ALA Gilbert fall Soto Chi ALA QC

215 Vole Tei ALA Gilbert beating Jimmy Johnson Payson 3-1

215 Michael Kelly Bradshaw pinned Vole Tei AGN

157 Broden Harrold AGN best Tyler Dilcher twice Bradshaw 4-1, and by fall

190 Travis Christianson takes 1st. Would have liked to see him and Bric Jobe AGN run a second match back.

285 Cannon White AGN takes 3rd, Peyton Hines Bradshaw takes 5th, would have loved to see them wrestle.

106 Bergen Doolen AGN had a good tournament placing 1st pinning Zamora of Bradshaw in the finals. Would have loved to see either go against Escalera of Coconino.

I may have missed some other matches involving the top 8, but a lot of good matches in D3 this past weekend.
