The should probably be revisited in a week or two. With the two pound allowance for the second semester a lot of guys will be dropping down a class. This weekends Peoria tourney should clarify a lot of things and after Flowing Wells we'll have a pretty good indicator of where everyone is for state and who's the top dog.

Also, if you look at the results from the "Pack" Invite this weekend a few of these classes could be tweaked.

106 - Anderson Mountain View was 2nd, 4th ranked Cole from BC was 5th. Also, I think Boyle from Westwood has been at 106 for the most part.

113 - Richards from Mountain View has spent the majority of his time at this weight. He was 4th this weekend.

126 - Bagsall from MTV was first. Wood wrestled this weight for Desert Ridge and was 2nd. Gomez from DR is at 120.

132- Doolen from MTV is at this weight and won this weekends tourney.

138 - Booth from MTV is at this weight and won the tourney this weekend. Fernandez is from QC is also here and took second.

I'm sure there are quite a few more, so as I mentioned before a ton of guys are going to be at different weights than you've listed.

Here are my 106-138 rankings as of Jan 17th. I believe they are pretty accurate. Let me know if anyone sees anything wrong. I don’t have the stamina to complete the top half of the weights. I expect a few changes after this weekend.

I assume since he's a relative, you have the definitive word on Boyle being at 106? Looks like he's been back and forth all year between 106 and 113, wrestling at 113 more recently.

Yes. He has wrestled 115 for the sole purpose of getting better competition. I believe he weighed in around 111 at Peoria.

I did 106-132 earlier in the week and then got really busy at work, but I'll share what I have now. Obviously things might change a little after Flowing Wells, but not as much as usually since it's not nearly as tough as it used to be, and because not many D1 teams really go.

106
1- Zach Espalin (Chandler)
2 - Charles Boyle (Westwood)
3 - Zander Phaturos (Liberty)
4 - John Jarman (Mesa)
5 - Cesar Avelar (Brophy)
6 - Javier Duran (Cesar Chavez)
7 - Demarko Gomez (Cibola)

I think 1-3 here are pretty clear, with each one having a decent gap above the guy below. I think 4-7 are all really close.

113
1 - Carson Coy (Liberty)
2 - Juan Sierra (Cibola)
3 - Michael Llamas (Copper Canyon)
4 - Anthony Gonzales (Corona del Sol)
5 - Noah Kasprowicz (Boulder Creek)
6 - Hunter Richards (Mountain View)

1 and 2 could flip flop but they're a clear 1/2 ahead of the others. 3-6 have all beaten each other and are essentially interchangeable.

120
1 - Andres Avelar (Cesar Chavez)
2 - Zack Kvalve (Corona del Sol)
3 - Everett Gomez (Desert Ridge)
4 - Alex Terese (Pinnacle)
5 - Matt Martinez (Skyline)
6 - Cael Figueroa (Highland)

Ramos is down at 113 and Pool went 0-2 at Peoria and has no real notable wins this year. 1 is pretty clear after his dominating performance at Peoria, but I wouldn't pick against Kvalve in a head to head match there. Terese is tough and appears to be down from 132, but Gomez beat him earlier in the year. 5 and 6 are both tough but haven't really wrestled any of the top guys from what I can tell.

126
1 - Tyler Sauter (Liberty)
2 - Tariq Hornbuckle (Desert Vista)
3 - Isai Alonso (Kofa)
4 - Alex Wood (Desert Ridge)
5 - Bradley Basgall (Mountain View)
6 - Isaiah Valenzuela (Hamilton)
7 - Alex Rodriguez (Basha)

Kind of have to put Sauter at 1 after his win over Hornbuckle at Peoria, even though it was as close as a match can be. Alonso is down from 132 and will be tough at this weight. Wood, Rodriguez and Basgall have all beaten each other, but I put Wood at 4 because of his previous state results. Valenzuela is kind of a wild card having been up at 132 all year, but I added him in here because I saw that he beat Rodriguez last night.

132
1 - Bowen Doolen (Mountain View)
2 - Andrew Correa (Liberty)
3 - Jarrett Christofferson (Boulder Creek)
4 - George Poland (Cesar Chavez)
5 - Ibrahim Sadi (Tucson)

This weight is pretty easy to rank, except for that Christofferson and Poland could be flip flopped. Nobody really stands out at all after the top 5 so I have no clue who to put at 6

Thanks for the info. Also, enjoyed the TV news story this week on the wrestling Jarman family.

Great job by Quinn. Not sure how to insert Him into the rankings. He doesn’t have much of a track record at 138 besides that impressive win. Probably 5th or 6th but obviously has potential to place higher.

There is a Rumor Fernandez will be dropping to 132. Not sure if there is any truth to it.

126 and 138 are definitely kind of a mess to rank. I'm close with some QC people and haven't heard anything about Fernandez moving down.

Terese is down at 120 so I'd probably have him 3rd or 4th there. I'd have Gomez at 3rd or 4th as well. Figueroa is hard to rank because he hasn't wrestled any of the other top guys...I think Gomez beats him 9 times out of 10 though. I can't see ranking Pool...he hasn't beaten anyone of note all year (despite placing 3rd at FW which let's be honest, was pretty terrible) and went 0-2 at Peoria. I'd probably have 120 Avelar, Kvalve, Terese, Gomez, Martinez, Figueroa

Flowing wells was relatively weak at 120 but Pool did beat Aspuro and Aspuro beat Senick. Senick beat Gomez. Using transitive properties here which is not ideal but it’s all I have to go off. Pools 2 losses at Peoria we’re tough kids. Gomez does have some good wins and if You asked me to throw out results and just rank off what I think is gonna happen, I would put Gomez 3rd or 4th and Pool a bubble placer so I can see where you are coming from.
