On paper Corona has 8 state placers and Sunnyside with 5 state placers returning. If Sunnyside has some freshmans who can contribute right away and Rees can step up than it will be close. 195, 220 and Hwt are gonna be the key pieces for each team.

It's going to be interesting for sure. Each year new people step up. The team that works the best together & scores points with the big boys will pull it off. Without seeing the teams dual it's hard to choose a favorite. (SS & Corona are in the mix) I know the athletes help a lot but sometimes adjusting to a new coach & a new environment takes time. The Corona transfers & all of Mountain View will have to find their groove. (IR in D2) Cibola could still be a dark horse because they are balanced & have been together for a long time. (They always have big guys & are just one year removed from 2 state titles) 3 or 4 other teams could also make it hard to win.

No one really knows what weights people will go now, how much kids will grow ect... Until the season starts. Kids hitting puberty can grow a lot in 3 months. Cibola brings back 10 state qualifiers, (All scored points) 1 champ, 2 thirds & 2 4th place & some tough freshman. 160lbs & up all are back but one. SS, Corona & Cibola have to be the favorites going in. I can't wait!

So do any of you Phoenix Area guys have any connections at Corona? They have started school so we should be able to find out what Seton kids enrolled at Corona.

With no Hovis....SS still has a huge edge with everyone back and healthy. Good luck to Quentin...wherever he ends up.
