The Warriors wrestling club in Paradise Valley (Bell Rd. and 40th Street) is having practices through the summer on Monday and Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. There is a $100 one time fee for the summer but wrestlers are welcome to visit first and decide if they wish to join. Also starting in July there will be an introductory wrestling camp for beginners. Focus is on positional wrestling and fundamentals with emphasis on drilling. Also included will be agility drills, exercises, and for the younger age group, mat games such as chess, bacon and ants. For the older group, there will be experienced wrestlers in attendance.
This is great for new and existing wrestlers in the NE side of Phoenix wanting to get on the mats. Cost is minimal, $75 for one week or $120 for both weeks.
