Any big time transfers either to a team or away from a team?

Is the Sunnyside kid who got them into hot water still there?

I heard the Sunnyside kid transferred to Flowing Wells HS, not sure how true that is. I hope the kid can get it together and get back on the mat, very good wrestler.

Based upon the AIA denial of Sunnyside's appeal, I believe he is eligible to wrestle this year. Whether or not he does remains to be seen.

To answer an earlier question... no, Merritt Taylor from Mesa Mtn View will not be wrestling.

Aside from the usual suspects who do you folks think will have a stand out season in Div I this season?

Bravo is not confirmed at 120, we wont know until the first duel of the season
November 25- Basha, Dobson, Mt View (Mesa) and Sunnyside.

Aside from the usual placers, I think the following wrestlers will have a breakout season.

Nico Braswell 152 (Basha)
Patrick Klass 126 (Ironwood Ridge)
Emilio Alcantara 113 (Sunnyside)
Chance Ikei 132 (Chandler)
Stone Crooks 126 (Boulder Creek)
Hunter Carmona 145 (Cornoa Del Sol)
Quincy Reece 138 (Chandler)
David Wuertemburg 126 (Cibola)
Bryce Saylor 132 (Centennial)

I can't wait for Nov 25th. That will give us an indication of the kind of teams Sunnyside & Mtn View (Mesa) will have. (Basha & Dobson have some tough kids too)

I agree with those kids having a great year. Ironwood Ridge has some kids that have been together for 4 years. Kids we haven't heard much about that will make some noise. I feel they will give Mtn View & Sunnyside all they can handle. The Hamilton, Ironwood Ridge & Mtn View (Mesa) dual on Dec 9th will show us more on that. Nov 24th IR wrestles Chandler & Marana. Chandler has some kids that could really make some noise too. That dual could show us a lot as well.

2015 West Kids/Cadet/Junior was the last tournament he wrestled at 84 pounds. Going to be tough to get to 106, not sure where his weight is at.

For what it matters, Wokasch took 3rd at 145 last year. He was not the runner up. Probably going to win it all at 152 this year. He is a beast.

FYI At 220 Will Jordan (Mtn View) pinned Frank Salinas (Mesa) last night.
